Cell Oganelles Flashcards | Quizlet
• The protoplasm refers to all the substances inside of a cell. Protoplasm is basically everything inside the cell membrane, including the organelles, cytoplasm, and nucleus. • Cytoplasm is everything inside the cell, but outside of the nucleus. The cytoplasm does not include the nucleus. • Cytosol is the fluid component of the cytoplasm.nucleus or membrane bound organelles Name for the collection of DNA in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells This type of cell has a nucleus and membrane bound organelles Put a check in the appropriate column(s) to indicate whether the following organelles are found in plant cells, animal cells or both. The jelly-like material that makes up much of a cell inside the cell membrane, and, in eukaryotic cells, surrounds the nucleus. The organelles of the cell, such as mitochondria and (in green plants) chloroplasts, are contained in the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm together with the nucleus make up the cell's protoplasm. See more at cell.Nuclear Envelope and Nuclear Pores . The cell nucleus is bound by a double membrane called the nuclear envelope. This membrane separates the contents of the nucleus from the cytoplasm, the gel-like substance containing all other organelles. The nuclear envelope consists of phospholipids that form a lipid bilayer much like that of the cell membrane. This lipid bilayer has nuclear pores that allow

Firm, protective structure that gives the cell its shape in plants, fungi, most bacteria and some protests Produces a usable form of energy for the cell Packages proteins for transport out of the cell Everything inside the cell including the nucleus Site where ribosomes are made The membrane surrounding the cellthe part of the eukaryotic nucleus where ribosomal RNA is synthesized: microfilament: a fiber found inside eukaryotic cells that is composed of the protein tubulin that are found in the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cells: eukaryote: an organism made up of cells that have a nucleus enclosed by a membrane, multiple chromosomes, and a mitotic cycleStructure/Function Cell Part Stores material within the cell Closely stacked, flattened sacs (plants only) The sites of protein synthesis Transports materials within the cell The region inside the cell except for the nucleus Organelle that manages or controls all the cell functions in a eukaryotic cell Contains chlorophyll, a green pigment thatThe Cytoplasm and Cytoskeleton. The cytoplasm consists of everything inside the plasma membrane of the cell, excluding the nucleus in a eukaryotic cell. It includes the watery, gel-like material called cytosol, as well as various structures. The water in the cytoplasm makes up about two thirds of the cell's weight and gives the cell many of its properties. The protoplast consists of: everything inside the nucleus everything inside the cell membrane everything between the cell membrane and the nucleus everything inside the cell wall The protoplast consists of: everything inside the cell membrane.
This is ranging from the out of doors in for a plant cell:
Cell Wall- Rigid to assist offer protection to and beef up the cell
Cell Membrane- Controls what passes in and out of the cell
Cytoplasm- Gel like substance through which organelles float
Nucleus- Control center of cell
Nuclear Envelope- Membrane that protects the nucleus
Chromatin's- DNA, help direct the cell
Nucleolus- Where the ribosomes are made
Ribosomes- Structure during which the cells proteins are made.
Mitochondria- Energy maker of the cell's power
Endoplasmic Reticulum- Passageway the place issues in the cell are transported
Golgi Bodies- Collect proteins and direct the although endoplasmic reticulum to portions of the cell
Chloroplasts- Contain the chlorophyll where photosynthesis takes place
Chlorophyll- Makes the plant green
Vacuoles- Storage house for food, water, and waste
In animal cells:
Animal Cells don't have Cell Walls and Chloroplasts with chlorophyll
Instead animals have Lysosomes
Lysosomes- Small structures that comprise chemical compounds to break down materials in the cell (Like Lysol in a way)
These are most effective the basics on working out cell. There is a lot more to learn about cells and the way they get their meals and water.
Hope this helps!
